No headway in talks between govt, Madhesi Front !

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrives at Singha Darbar for the talks between the government and the agitating UDMF on Friday, December 11, 2015.

KATHMANDU:

The talks between the government and the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Morcha failed to reach any conclusion on Friday also as the latter stuck to its stance and put forth redoing of provincial boundaries as its prime demand.

It was but a continuity of ending the talks without entering into agenda, quipped Upendra Yadav, the chairman of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal, emerging from the meeting.

According to him, unless the provision for provincial boundaries in the Constitution was changed the issues could not be addressed. Thus this agenda should be given top priority, he said. But both the government side and the main opposition Nepali Congress, he charged, did not want to entertain this.
